Gauntlet: Dark Legacy

Gauntlet is a great game for the PS2 (and a heck of a lot of other platforms) that I used to play a lot when I was younger. You take on the role of your customized character (I was a yellow dwarf, I looked like Mr. T except tiny) to defeat an ancient demon. Along the way you go through many different worlds (all are pretty interesting) to collect runestones. The runestones are the only way that you can defeat the demon, named Skorne.

This game overall was enough to entertain 11 year old me, but I'm not sure it could do the trick anymore. It is kind of an elementary storyline, and it boils down to just mashing the "X" button to attack. My favorite part is the leveling up, because every 10 levels your armor evolves and you get a new title. By the end of the game, my little black dwarf looked absolutely ridiculous! It was hilarious.

Overall, in it's day it was worth a play, maybe even worth buying, but in today's world it just can't hold up. This is a game you would only play as nostalgia. (Sorry for the lack of images, but it was impossible to find any good ones)
